It was mainly the construction of the local kindergarten: Franz Dam, mayor of Absdorf in the Tulln district, was recently confronted with numerous accusations: now with the help of his lawyer Walter Anzböck, he has put on a counter-strike. He wants to “create clarity” – the opposition is not going far enough.
The allegations brought their concern to two cases – however, the construction of the kindergarten is the most upset. As reported, the cause ultimately waves to the State parliament clubs of Neos and De Groenen. These are now at community level that still require information. The focus is at 200,000 euros, which the municipality would have “lost” in the course of the construction.
The fall in the city council postponed, but stay on the radar
“We had rejected two municipal councils on the agenda-getting!”, The Green Municipal Councilor Edith Fux accuses the mayor of ÖVP with an overhang of a mandate with an absolute majority to keep important documents back. “On this day were the constituent session and a total of 30 agenda items,” he defends. “The greens alone had already submitted six – too much.”
How it should continue: there is still an agreement being processed
Both parties now propose other processes. “I can imagine a study by three independent experts,” said Dam. He was already making copies of the documents and distributing all municipal councils, only: “Some passages that have nothing to do with the matter may not be published for legal reasons.” -“What should the local chef hide?” Asks Greens Boss Fuchs and demands fully complete disclosure.
Absolutely correct procedure, the extra costs have many causes
In many facets, such as Dam of the “Krone” explains: “Only one example:” Only one example was planned for the construction of the building: “Only two groups were planned, after a rearrangement it became twice as much,” says Dam. He is sure: “After the allegations about the construction of the kindergarten, no questions remain open. There are many details – for example, the construction company also voluntarily paid the full real estate price for a street. Everything has been clarified!”
