“Zämmko” – “Coming together” was the motto at the 53rd Bregenzerwald District Music Festival in Lingenau in Vorarlberg last weekend. After postponement due to corona, the event could finally take place this year. However, there was a wild incident.
Two years of planning, four years of waiting – because of corona! The build-up to the 53rd Bregenzerwald District Music Festival was a long one. It goes without saying that anticipation had increased almost immeasurably, not just among the organizers. The partygoers were also very happy that, in addition to the marches and parades, there was finally another tent festival. The mood was correspondingly relaxed and euphoric. A little too euphoric for a young man.
Climbed on lighting
As the video of a reading reporter shows, the man had climbed on the lighting in the tent directly under the roof. Initially, the stranger was able to hold out there for a while. When he ran out of strength, however, he fell from a height of several meters to the ground. A scream went through the crowd.
It is not yet known whether or how seriously the young man was injured. It’s also unclear if other visitors were injured or how the stranger managed to climb onto the lighting in the first place.
