Meloni thanked security forces for their service
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni thanked the security forces and the municipality of Rome for the organization of the funeral ceremony, in which 160 delegations participated. “Thanks to the government and my own thanks to them all, for you to ensure that you have Italy and the whole world with professionalism, dedication and service for the smooth running of a historical day,” Meloni said on social networks.

The mayor of Rome, Roberto Galtieri, said satisfied with the course of the day. “On the occasion of the moving funeral of Pope Francis, Rome provided exceptional evidence of organizational capacity, cohesion and citizenship. I would like to make my genuine statement to all institutions, the government, the police and the armed forces.
