Rocket Attack – AUA no longer flies to Tel Aviv this week

Date:

After a rocket attack on Ben Gurion Airport in Israel, the AUA exposes its flights to Tel Aviv for this week.

“Due to the current situation, the Austrian airlines and from Tel Aviv (TLV) will be in coordination with the Lufthansa Group until 11 May,” said the subsidiary of Lufthansa Monday. The cheap airlines Wizz Air and Ryanair continued to stop the flight connections until Tuesday.

Wizzair wants to resume the connection on Tuesday morning: “Based on a security check, Wizz Air decided to interrupt the company in TLV for 24 hours – the resumption of flight activities is planned for 6 May, Tuesday morning,” said the airline on Monday afternoon. “We look at the situation precisely – the security of our customers, our crew and planes have a top priority for us,” emphasizes a company spokesperson.

The Houthis and the “Axis of Resistance”
Six people were injured in the rocket attack for which the Jemeni Houthi militia claimed. In addition to the Hisbollah in Lebanon and the Islamist Palestinian organization Hamas in the Gaza Strip, the Shiite hunters are among the “Axis of Resistance” mentioned by Iran and against Israel and the US. Since the start of the Gaza war, the Houthis have fired at Israel several times on Israel – according to “solidarity” with Hamas.

Moreover, since the start of the Gaza war, they have repeatedly attacked ships in the Red Sea and in the Gulf of Aden and destinations in Israel with drones and rockets. The United States and its allies have repeatedly responded since the beginning of 2024 with attacks on Houthi goals in Yemen. On March 15, the American armed forces also started a new air offensive against the Islamic militia.
