He wanted to sell the off -road vehicles from his sinner and got the wrong one. A 56-year-old from Tyrolean Unterland grabbed the fall of unscrupulous fraudsters. After a fake transfer confirmation was submitted to him, the locals signed the contract and handed the car. This is now gone – the promised money has never arrived.
The 56-year-old Tyrolean from the Kufstein district had already offered his car for sale on an online platform in March. As a result, he was able to reach an agreement with an assumed prospect. The agreed price: a high, five -digit -euro amount!
It was also agreed with the “buyer” to pay a medium four figure amount when the car is collected in cash and to transfer the remaining amount when the purchase contract is signed.
Deposit less than agreed
“Last Friday, May 2, two previously unknown men picked up the vehicle and paid a lower amount than originally agreed. The 56-year-old contacted the supposed buyer, who eventually sent him a transfer confirmation on an online communication platform,” the police said.
Convention signed, car away
The seller was satisfied with this – he signed the purchase contract and handed the car to the two men. They then made themselves out of dust with the sinner. To date, the 56-year-old has not seen any money, the transfer confirmation was apparently fake.
So far there is no trace of the perpetrators and the car. The police started investigating.
