Before the five -day call next week in non -university public education, the Minister of Education called for ‘responsibility’.
The Minister of Education of the Basque government, Pedrosa BegoñaHe said that “if everyone’s priority is to improve the attention of students” can be achieved “without any doubt” and, given the five -day call in non -university public education, it has called for “responsibility”.
In an interview with ONDA Basque, Pedrosa has assured that the Ministry of Education has always been in “Disposition for Dialogue and the Achiefits”, “have been given many hours, both by the trade unions and the government, and now it will not be different.” In this sense it has indicated that “there is a situation that extends more than because it is necessary to resolve and we must try to share the negotiation frame and it is what we want to do this week.”
As for the Thursday meeting with the trade unionsHe has indicated that the Ministry of Education is on the table “everything we have agreed” because “many measures and many proposals have been put on top of the table.”
In that sense, he remembered that an agreement was reached “in the reduction of school hours in primary and bureaucracy work, in a rejuvenation plan, in improving the working conditions of interim staff, which was also a claim, and in licenses, permits or transfers.”
Pedrosa yesterday claimed the last education proposal that will lead to the meeting this Thursday, including the reduction of primary school ratio per classroom of the current 23 to 22, an increase in staff for the centers and a “reasonable” reimbursement improvement for teachers.
He also warned that if the five -day call of the following week is used, this would be 13 unemployment days if the previous nine were added, which would be “uninterrupted”. That is why the counselor has appealed to “responsibility and co -responsibility” and has warned that “we all have to think about how they can support students to reach the end of the course as it should be, with peace of mind and stability.”
Finally, he insisted that “if we really want to reach an agreement to respond to the needs that students have and the support and increase in resources that an educational center needs, we can reach an agreement, without any doubt”, because “there are already many elements above the table and because new elements will be placed on top of the table that we really have to sign.”
