Shortly after 12.30 the police were informed by the Red Cross about a seriously injured woman in the Jakomini district of Graz. Buren had discovered the 72-year-old in the back garden of the house in Scheigergasse and provided first aid. “She led the most serious injuries,” said police spokesman Fritz Grundnig of the “Krone” on the spot. The emergency services continued to continue the first aid measures, but the victim could no longer be rescued to her serious injuries on the site.
Suspect arrested
An alarm search for the Graz Urban area was immediately activated. Countless police comics and a police drone participated in the search and criminalists also took the investigation. Moments later the success was: a 53-year-old suspect was arrested in his apartment. “He behaved suspiciously in the course of a survey and tried to flee,” says Grundnig.
It turned out that he was probably a neighbor of the victim. “According to the current investigation, the two have been in a dispute for years – also in court,” says Grundnig. “We have not been able to find any witnesses at the moment.”
