A young velvet leg was hit by a car in St. Pölten and seriously injured. Now the leader of the animal shelter criticizes the cat who holds in the city: “Is it really to let cats make love next to federal roads and in the urban area?”
“Silbermond” was found more dead than alive on Easter Monday in a bush along the road. The cat may have been hit by a car. The velvet leg was initially stabilized at the vet. A complicated pelvic break was eventually found in the X -Ray.
The veterinary clinic of St. Pöltner showed that the injury was even more serious than accepted. “The hip was partially smashed, the nerves were caught,” describe the surgeons. The intervention lasted more than four hours, which was successful. “Silbermond” is now recovering in the St. Pölten Animal Shelter for the hardships.

Whether she can ever run back normally will be shown. It is also unclear for leaders of the animal shelter Victoria Bischof, given this fate, whether today’s cat is still up -to -date. “Does it really have to let cats run free next to federal roads and in the urban area? Or do you not have to rely on alternatives such as aviary or secure terraces here?”
For Bisschop there is nothing to do with love for animals when cats are overlooked several times a day and this is rejected with a collective vibrating of the shoulder. “As if it is a normal fate for cats when they die at the age of two because of a car accident. And the owner moves the next cat two weeks later – who runs in the same street,” the animal lover criticizes.
