Because parts fall from an old building, the alarm is now being raised in Burgenland. The “Bruchbude” should actually be broken down.
On the outskirts of Nikitsch there is a 100 -year customs house that has already seen better days. The plaster claps away, the windows are missing and only the wooden structure remains from the roof. The deserted building gives the community a lot of headaches. Half -Urril there was a fire brigade with air ladder because roofs and sheets threatened to release. This week, wooden parts and wall pieces popped up into the street.
Road closed
Mayor Christian Balogh (Spö) immediately locked the street for cars and pedestrians. “This is all I can do,” he says. He points out that a termination message was prepared in 2014 and sees the authority on the train. The Vinzenz Fleischhacker (FGM) city council (FGM) – he has now brought the case to the public – also calls the alarm: “I expect and request an immediate enforcement of the termination message, because it is in a delay danger. Who is liable if something happens?”
Apartments instead of ruin
The termination message was already issued to the previous owner. The building was sold for Corona. The current owner – supposedly a Swiss – apparently planned to prepare the ruin. There is a property on the internet in which the customs house is advertised as “Villa Anna” with condominiums. The construction must “be completely stripped and completely renovated,” says it.
Construction projects were delayed
District captain Klaus Trummer confirms that the current owner had a building permit, but has now assumed. The new owner has repeatedly reminded that there was a termination message, says Trummer. In exchange, he always asked for more time. In the beginning it was because of Corona, then due to the lack of financing and other reasons. The mail traffic went through the autumn 2024.
The owner must now act quickly
Moreover, the authority does not know that parts had been resolved earlier, otherwise people would have reacted, Trummer explains. On Tuesday they were informed of the cases sharing and they acted immediately. Various companies were contacted for demolition. At the same time, the owner must now receive a very short period to remove those parts from which a danger goes.
Who pays the costs?
For Trummer these are mainly roof trusses and smoke. If this does not happen, the authority wants to order a company and invoice the owner. Whether this can also be settled is on another magazine. Liability, if something happens, lies with the owner, according to the district captain.
According to Balogh there is no more contact with the owner.
