Afraid moments on Mother’s Day: there was a fire in the kitchen of the popular destination. 600 people had to leave the Hendorfer -intestinal Aiderbichl area. The employees were able to bring the animals to safety.
“Everything went very fast. The deep fryer suddenly had 270 degrees Celsius. I quickly put the lid on it and also a fire blanket – it didn’t really do anything.” Kitchen chef Charles Moky traded in the right place on Mother’s Day – and could not prevent the inevitable. Within a few seconds, the electrical device fire brigade caught the alarm in the gastronomy at the Henndorfer-Tier-Gdadenhof Bowel Aiderbichl!
Employees have saved parrot
At the moment nearly 600 visitors were in the area, many just wanted to enjoy their lunch. The spacious cage of the parrots is also in the gastro area. “When we arrived, there were no more animals and people in the danger area. The employees responded perfectly,” says Hennorf Local Fire Brigade Commander Simon Leitner.
With his 69 comrades they were able to control the fire quickly. “Everything worked well. We removed the flames with powder,” he explains. In addition to the Henndorfer Floriani, the Fire Brigades Nezarkt and Seekirchen were also in action.
After the end of the mission, the employees of Gut Aiderbichl showed the size of the fire damage for the first time. The kitchen rooms are heavily demolished and sooty, the best extinguishing powder is spread in the entire gastro area. Aiderbichl Boss Dieter Ehrengruber: “After the first shock it says: Tackle! Thank goodness, no one was injured.”
For the time being, visitors stand for closed doors
For the time being, the Tier-Gdadenhof will remain closed for visitors. You can only open it until the end of the week.
