“Namely killing” – Death drama: Arbeiter (63) of excavator flooded

Dramatic scenes on Tuesday afternoon in Velden: When working on a slope on Süduferstrasse, a 63-year-old was overwhelmed by an excavator. The victim succumbed to his serious injuries in the hospital. The driver of the heavy vehicle should not have steered this.

Around 2:20 pm the 63-year-old from the Klagenfurt district was currently working on a slope in the area of ​​Süduftstrasse. Also an excavator on site that must be used as support. The drama followed his course: the excavator, a 28-year-old from the Völkermarkt district, clearly overlooked his colleagues out of carelessness and ran over it with the heavy vehicle.

Another employee looked at the accident and immediately started the rescue chain. After the first care for the emergency services arrived a little later, the victim of the accident was brought to the Klagenfurt clinic with the RK1 Rescue Helicopter. Where the doctors could do nothing for the 63-year-old because of the serious injuries.

Incomprehensible: the 28-year-old excavator director should not have driven the vehicle, he has no valid steering authorization of the F. class, which is why he is now also shown in the BH Villach and at the office of the public prosecutor in Klagenfurt for suspicion of roughly negligent murder. An alkotest performed was negative. Further investigations are underway.
