The indignation among employees of the Red Cross in Carinthia is great! A patient was unauthorized in the ambulance. The two acting paramedics also filmed their illegal attempt – and are now suspended. The “Kroon” knows the details.
Since the beginning of the year, a video has been amazed among Carinthian Red Cross employees. The recording shows a paramedic who currently places instructions from his colleague in an ambulance from a patient and receives instructions from his colleague. “However, the young man was not authorized to do this, he misses the right training,” the organization is furious.
The criminal violation was filmed by his colleague, who could have set the way as an emergency paramedic with the training of emergency competence Venenweg (NKV).
Back on service after suspension
The video, which was also played the “Kroon”, quickly made its rounds and also reached the superiors. “After the incident became known, the two were suspended for more than two months,” says Rotkeu spokeswoman Melanie Reiter: “Both are voluntarily in the emergency services, openly opened the incident and admitted their misconduct.
Now the two “perpetrators” are again service in the district office in Villach. “According to the internal evaluation and the work and service law framework, clear consequences were determined. The decision to resume the semi-detached editions- was made to the active service after a careful weighing and integration of the responsible managers,” Reiter said.
“It’s about human life!”
But this approach is not understandable for the other comrades: “It’s about human life, there are regulations that you have to adhere to, it is not for nothing that there are different training degrees, the accused is not employed,” criticizes some of the colleagues.
Reiter: “As an organization with a strong training order and clear ethical guidelines, our goal is to learn from incidents and to make responsible and reasonable use of errors possible.”
