In the course of the investigation, two suspects were arrested on Monday and searches in the municipality were made in West Flanders. An arrest warrant was published against one of the suspects, it said.

In the beginning there was no information about the possible damage and the amount of the possible bribery payments. It also remained unclear which armor companies could have benefited from the information. According to the information, the case is also being investigated in Luxembourg, Spain and the Netherlands. The agency of the European Union for cooperation in the field of justice in criminal cases (just euro) is also coordinating.
