Pradales asks to create conditions for the first Basque sector to have generation lighting

Date:

Lehendakari proposes improvements in working conditions and economic recognition, with the aim of guaranteeing generation lights in agricultural and livestock farms.

The Lehendakari Imanol Pradales has underlined the need to create conditions that make the first sector in Euskadi more attractive, especially from the economic and labor point, to guarantee the generation lighting.

On the occasion of the Day of San Isidro, patron of the farmers, Pradales has warned that many people from rural areas approach pension without successors, so it has called for promotion of entrepreneurship and the participation of new generations in agricultural and Livestock farms.

In his message, Pradales indicated that the calling to maintain the primary sector is not sufficient, but that an ambitious strategy is needed that includes improvements in working conditions, economic recognition and adaptation to new social and environmental requirements. In that sense, he remembered the recent implementation of a generation relief plan that wants to attract 1250 young people in the next ten years through specialized help, training and advice.

In addition, the Lehendakari has promised to reduce the bureaucratic burden for the Baserrritarras and has asked for a joint effort of society, institutions and the entire food chain to encourage the consumption of local products. Pradales has emphasized the strategic importance of the first sector, not only for food security, but also as an important actor in the fight against climate change and in promoting healthy and sustainable food.
