Finally, things were repeatedly public in which goods were lost by Tyrolean companies during transport. Behind it are apparently very well -organized criminals, who also keep international researchers involved in their sting.
A truck drives up, paper is checked, the goods loaded and sent during the trip. But she will never get to the goal. The Tyrolean company happens again and again. “A sub-or entrepreneur picks up the goods and dispels them so that she disappears on the journey and never arrives,” police spokesman Stefan Eder describes the gauze that is currently thinking of Tyrol’s transport industry. “This happens because there are many companies in between, orders are passed on to subcontractors.”
Professional approach and insider knowledge
The perpetrators would continue extremely professionally, Ulf Schmid, spokesperson for the spokesperson for Transport and Traffic in the Tyrol World Cup. The truck often had stolen license plates, the drivers fake -ID cards. “Sometimes they also have the order number,” says Schmid, who therefore assumes that the perpetrators have themselves chopping themselves or have informants.
For example, it happened that fraudsters had picked up chocolate during a company. “They had the order number and everything. When the right truck came, the goods had already disappeared. They intercepted the order in one way or another.”
Whether the goods are collected directly by fraudsters or abused by subcontractors – it is clear to Schmid: “There are professionals at work who know exactly what they do.”
Research about national borders difficult
The police confirm that clarification of such cases is difficult: “Because the whole thing is about different countries – especially if there is a certain delay.” Cases would be clarified, but those who rarely groove.
The phenomenon of the disappeared truck loads is not new, “but it is now popping up again,” says Ulf Schmid, who immediately calms down: “It is not that every second transport has a problem. We move in the alcohol area.” The police also do not recognize a trend.
Protection costs more, but is not impossible
Schmid sees everyone involved in protecting themselves. Many transporters rely on satellite monitoring and monitored parking spaces. And Schmid recommends that it is not dependent on cheaper subcontractors, especially with expensive goods, but on local loads that are known. “If you report the driver to the ID number or the sender, it already knows, it will be thin for criminals,” he says, “but it is often always a price discussion.”
Schmid speaks of an estimated 400 to 500 euros more, which would cost a safe transport to Italy: “With a total value of 500,000 euros up, this should not play a role.”
