In Mexico City, the police have closed a party room in which coffins were used as cool boxes for the drinks. After countless emergency calls from Buren, officials had discovered an unauthorized party with around 800 teenagers.
The mayor of the Central City District of Cuauhtémoc, Alessandra Rojo de la Vega, reported about the party initials on platform X. In a photo you see an old open box, a bucket and stacked chairs in a room that looks like a kitchen.
According to a report from the newspaper “La Jornada”, the party was announced on social networks. At least five young people under the age of 18 were found on the street for alcohol poisoning, mayor Rojo wrote.
In the restaurant there were no escape routes for emergency situations, the fire extinguishers were no longer functional. One person was arrested.
The party room is located near the famous Plaza Garibaldi, on which the Mariachi musicians collect and play traditional songs for payment.
