Wedding “Dunded” – The date of Schnapps is out of registration offices this year

“If we start with this, we will work seven days a week” -that was the core message on the “Krone” circuit in the Registering Offices in Upper Austria when it comes to the date of this year. Not that you can’t get married on 25 May, but this year you will fall on Sunday 25.5.2025. And there is no exception. “There are no weddings on Sundays and holidays,” says Julia Krindl, head of the Linz Registry Office. The expectations of the couples were apparently low, but some would have asked.

Little or no questions
In the Mühlviertler -Trouw location “Bergergut” there were no questions for the Schnapps date. “You don’t get a civil servant on Sunday,” says it, and on the Lake Traunsee it remains quiet in the wedding room in the Schloss.

Plan a year in advance
Because weddings usually need long -term planning, couples can already go on 26 June 2026 Loensen. It falls on a Friday and therefore a normal working day at the office.

Please register patience when registering
If you want to say “yes” in Linz, you must be patient for another month, because the registration form “only” is unlocked one year before the appointment.

“Hybrid” wedding ceremony and extra costs
