The harvest in the past was catastrophic, heat summer is increasingly difficult for the styric bevery bean. But the domestic satellers are about to break through.
It was finally done last weekend: Raphael Eitljörg and his family sown all beet beans. The 35-year-old farmer from St. Ruprecht is one of the Raab on the dry ground of his field, which is slowly growing greener: corn, beetle bean, corn, bevery bean. “The beetle bean needs a ranging help,” says Eitljörg. That is why it is growing together with the corn.
Eitljörg looks confident. It must be professional optimism, because last season was the worst beetle bean harvest that Styria ever saw.
