What started as an idea in a Veens Coffee House has become a socio-cultural project in the Biosphere Park Große Walsertal. Mountain of local herbs has been made there since 2001.
A morning is worried in the Grote Walsertal. In a kitchen in Fontanella there are several women around a large wooden table. They are busy packing a mixture of herbs from a large cotton bag in small bags. The dried plant parts rustles when filling and distributing an aroma reminiscent of sun -drenched meadows. The four women have quiet conversations or silence, deepened in their work – the mountain slopes in front of the window are flooded with light. It is a calm scene, such as the time hurried.
