The money is part of a €9 billion package that the European Commission promised Ukraine in May.
The Russian government spokeswoman probably referred in her statements to arms shipments, such as 12 multiple HIMARS rocket launchers from the US and seven Panzerhaubitzen 2000 from Germany. Russian troops are said to have destroyed some of the military technology in an attack in the city of Nowa Kachowka. More than 50 Ukrainian soldiers are said to have died.

Zakharova also commented on allegations that Russia could use nuclear weapons against the West. Referring to Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Zakharova said it was “absolutely unacceptable” to portray Russia as threatening others with nuclear weapons.
