It should have been earned somewhat: but behind the so -called safe form of investments, common fraudsters! So the supposed win was his own loan, who then surrendered a 52-year-old from Lower Austria to criminals abroad.
It was a phone call with the consequences that a 52-year-old from the Krems district accepted many weeks ago: there was a completely safe platform on the internet, where you get money quickly, the stranger assured the other end of management. The man was also contacted via WhatsApp. He received a link to open an online account and deposit 250 euros on it. The caller’s promise: the amount is multiplied in a short time.
Probably 16,800 instead of 250 euros
The Waldviertler had probably made skepticism with a view to a hoped -for profit, he opened the assumed account and transferred the required amount. The criminals then worked with all tricks. To keep the 52-year-old on the shelf, the website was wrong that he had already made a lot of profit. In May, instead of the originally transferred 250 euros, the remarkable but fully invented sum of 16,800 euros was already.
The trick with the profit tax
The victim was probably satisfied with that. He wanted to transfer 15,000 euros to his own account. But then it happened: in the documents required for this, he unconsciously signed a loan from a Deutsche Bank in exactly this amount. So he was only transferred to his own loan. Then the phone rang again. The 52-year-old was explained that he should better transfer the money to a German account. There would be much less profit tax. No sooner said than done.
The fraud eventually flew when the (real) Deutsche Bank recently asked for the loan. The victim fell from all clouds, including interest, including interest of more than 20,000 euros. He filed a complaint that the police started the investigation and contact with the German colleagues.
