New luxury goods – scandalous? 64 (!) euros for 300 grams of cheese

Date:

Luxury goods instead of groceries? The “Krone” tested the expensive “love cheese”, the inventor of which became a millionaire.

Fortunately, mice are not the Viennese’s favorite pets, because with cheese prices, eating the small rodents would soon be as expensive for life as buying a pony. The Crazy Cheese Factory, with a location in the Donauzentrum, among others, lives up to its name in terms of prices. When we visited the shop “Krone”, we were amazed: 304 grams of the “love cheese” cost 64 (!) Euros – really crazy.

Instead of white truffles or beluga caviar, which may justify the price, it contains only tomatoes and oregano. Incidentally, the taste of the bright red cheese is just as commonplace as the ingredients.

Owner is a millionaire
Yet owner Roland Ludomirska has become a – at least self-proclaimed – millionaire with his business model. On Instagram, the fully tattooed Viennese with a bushy gray beard presents himself as a bon vivant with champagne in the whirlpool or in a private jet – with cheese of course.

And the income continues to flourish – after all, the price increases do not stop with the already (too) expensive cheese. For example, the “Geiler Bock” variety cost 14.50 euros per 100 grams two years ago. Now it’s an incredible 21 euros. And it’s not even the most expensive. The “Geile Bock Deluxe” costs 36 euros.

Do not give up
A small consolation for anyone who can’t afford it: Too much cheese could damage heart health.
