The report will be presented next week before the Human Rights Council of the United Nations and accuses the Israeli state of conducting a campaign aimed at eradicating civilian life and the Palestinian identity in the comic.
Israel has committed war crime and crime against humanity of “extermination” in Gaza, according to a report from the independent UN commission, who denounce systematic attacks in schools, universities, mosques and cultural sites. The president of the Agency, the former International Navi Pillay, confirms that these actions represent a campaign for “Gaza in Gaza“, affects current and future generations.
The report documents that between October 2023 and February 2025 90 % of the schools and universities of Gaza were attacked, and half of their religious and cultural places were destroyed. At least 742 people died in educational facilities that served as a refuge, and more than 800 employees were killed in the education sector.
The intentional destruction of educational infrastructure and its military use by both Hamas and the Israeli army is also indicated, including the partial conversion of the Al-Azhar University campus in Synagogue and Military Warehouse.
On the western Jordoever, the report criticizes attacks at 141 schools, the murder of 96 students and the arrest of hundreds of students and teachers. Also alert to attacks and looting in cultural and historic locations, as well as restrictions on access to religious places such as the esplanade of mosques in Jerusalem.
The committee presents this 19 -pages report before the UN -Human Rights Council next week.
