Brake cable cut – sabotage at car dealership: duo vandal caught

Date:

A young vandal duo (16 and 19) in the Tyrolean district of Schwaz played a dangerous prank last August: the employee of a car dealership almost paid for it with his physical integrity. The teens are also believed to have been responsible for vandalism at Jenbach train station.

As early as August 22, the 19-year-old Irishman and the 16-year-old German are said to have left a trail of destruction and damage of more than ten thousand euros at a car dealership in Buch in the Tyrolean district of Schwaz: two cars scratched the vandals, in another did they put a band.

During a test drive the brake failed
But that’s not all: the boys are said to have cut brake lines and electrical cables in three vehicles. The dangerous prank only became apparent when a company employee took one of the cars for a test drive and suddenly couldn’t brake. Fortunately, the man managed to stop the car without incident.

The young suspected vandals may have raged for a second time at the train station in Jenbach on November 30: according to the police, they would have destroyed the glass paneling under the ticket counter in the building with a glass bottle. The damage amounted to more than a thousand euros.

Traces led detectives to track down the boys
Thanks to traces, the detectives are now behind the teenagers. The two suspects have been questioned and some of them have confessed. The Irishman and the German are set free.
