Warm days, flashy nights. A summer in Austria that keeps us busy. But on weekends it means for the first time: sunglasses open and outside! High pressure weather brings American temperatures up to 35 degrees! But be careful, the high is just a short pleasure …
It will be really hot on Friday! Especially in the west and south the temperatures climb to almost tropical values. Sweating is especially popular from Vorarlberg to Carinthia. In the lowlands the sky usually stays cloudless, only over the mountains exhibit harmless spring clouds. In the distant west there can be a short shower. Reach the daily maximum temperatures up to 29 degrees in the north and east, otherwise up to 34 degrees.
Occasionally small warming
Saturday even goes one step further: a maximum of 35 degrees are waiting for us in the south. Elsewhere it remains “cooler” with a maximum of 29 degrees, but still high summer. Only a few a small thermal thunderstorm could disturb the bathing day.
But then the break comes: on Sundays a cold front moves from the west. The day even starts sunny, but then the thunderstorms and the showers quickly rise by and north of the most important Alpine Ridge. Only in the east usually stays dry. The maximum values are between 25 and 32 degrees.
Strong showers especially in the south
The raincoat will then be attracted on Monday. Especially in the south it can crash again. In the north and east it rains heavily in places, in the middle of the state and in the south. From the afternoon it will loosen again in the west. The daily maximum values 18 to 27 degrees – in the field of the error zone.
Summer returns from Tuesday
Good news is available at the end: from Tuesday the sun will return and take the command again – only occasionally along the northern Alps are the last. With a maximum of 27 degrees it becomes pleasantly warm again, if not as hot as before.
