An older gentleman who went for a walk in the forest in his home community on Thursday morning was really out of luck. He dived into the rice over a slope and got stuck. Fortunately, he was able to warn the fire brigade via mobile phone that freed him.
On Thursday morning the Hagenberg Volunteer Fire Brigade was warned about the village of Anitzberg with the “person sunk”. The location was initially unclear, so the emergency services started with a big search.
After a few minutes, the missing person could be located in a steep slope. The old and vulnerable man had fallen into a dense pile of travel and could no longer free himself alone. Fortunately, he managed to call help via mobile phone. The emergency services of the fire brigade quickly freed him from his perilous situation.
