For an apparently invalid reason, a group of Somalier attacked a 36-year-old Viennese in the Josefstädter Straße U6 station at the end of February. They not only hit him with hands and feet-a 28-year-old makes an impression in the most negative sense with his brutality. He reached the hammer. The young man does not have to be legally in prison for this.
Saturday evening at the end of February in the metro station of Vienna in Josefstädter Straße people come and go. Nevertheless, a group of Somalier did not shy away from enormous violence, they apparently beat a passer -by. A 28-year-old mainly stands out. With a hammer he hit the 36-year-old with full power.
Videos show an attack
He is now in the indictment in the Vienna Landl and is not guilty: “The others have brutally beaten him.” He came there later. “I have already seen it, he was bleeding everywhere.” The Somalier even goes so far that he says he was eventually threatened by the victim with death. He only raised the hammer for deterrence. The happiness of the research body: “This happened in a metro station. Of course there are video cameras,” said the public prosecutor.
And of course they are played in the courtroom. You can see the accused who follows the 36-year-old in the station with a hammer in his hand. Young men follow the Viennese, there is a fight and eventually the devastating slap in the face.
Nose completely beaten
“I had a blackout,” explains the victim, represented by Astrid Wagner. “I actually wanted to go home with the metro. There was a group of Somali people. They offered me drugs and I rejected.” That is why there was a conflict. “I had to defend myself. So many fists and stairs have taken myself down.” And then the hammer hit the face. A broken debris of the nose and a double jaw break was the painful result.
For the 28-year-old crowds, the deliberately serious physical injury ends with a prison sentence of three and a half years. “The statement of my client can be brought into harmony with the photos,” says Astrid Wagner – and the Schöffensenat is once after a brief consultation. The judgment is not final.
