The case around a headless body of a young man found on the South Tyrolean Brenner Autobahn (A22) near Klausen in 2008 was apparently resolved. The main prosecutor of Bozner, Axel Bisignano, told the media that the victim was a Turkish family man. In the German city of Sontheim an der Brenz, he was first strangled by his father -in -Waw, then beheaded and finally brought to Klausen.
The body of the then 22-year-old was wrapped in a blue work in general 17 years ago by two employees of the highway operator in a box next to the highway. However, crime remained unsolved until the end. In any case, a breakthrough in the “cold case” was achieved due to new information. The path leads to Germany to the border region between Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. There, an Italian citizen and two sons were convicted for a series of murder, for which they already serve.
At the time, Italian and German media had reported in both cases, now a connection could be made. According to the Bisignano, German researchers had the “memorials” that the body could be related to the matter was said in media reports.
Killing was part of the Murder series
The Italian already had the murder of the son -in -law -as well as two murders -in an interrogation by the Ellwangen -Officier of Justice of Ellwangens, six years ago. According to him, he did not fit in the Italian family, the DPA reported. However, he again denied the crime of his daughter’s husband. At that time it was finally considered murder because the body could not be found. That is why in 2019 and 2020 the father was sentenced in 2019 and 2020 to a life sentence with subsequent preventive detention in 2019 and 2020 for two murder and a manslaughter. In terms of the prison there were also for his sons because they had been involved as an accomplice in the other actions.
The research was started when body parts were found in the family’s garden. According to South Tyrolean Media Reports, a DNA comparison brought certainty that the corpse in Klausen was the first victim of the series of murder in Sontheim in the Heidenheim district of Württemberg. The wife of the murdered and daughter of the murderer had finally identified the body. The man’s head has not yet been found, it said.
No new indictment possible
According to the reports, however, the strictly Catholic perpetrator was very similar in the three murders, according to the court of Ellwangen: he initially strangled the victims and then hit them out with chainsaws and then removed two of the three corpses in Italy. The man killed his daughter’s new partner in 2014 together with his two sons, initially blackmailed a garage owner together with a son from greed and finally killed. According to the public prosecutor, however, there will be no new indictment, because the man cannot be convicted twice because of the killing of his son -in -Waw.
