Great commitment to the fire brigade on Friday afternoon in Voitsberg (Styria): A farm building caught fire. In total, seven fire brigades with 72 forces were in use. However, the building has burned down completely.
Shortly after 5 pm on Friday in Voitsberg De Sirens: a fire broke out in a farm building. When the police arrived at 5.10 pm, the building was already in full fire. The Brandbrigades Vemmenberg, Bärnbach, Gaiskfeld, Krems, Stallhofen and Köflach (turntable ladder) fought for hours. Due to the difficult extinguishing water supply, a living -working traffic with tank fire wagons had to be set up according to Voitsberg -Volunteer. A water tank of 11,000 liters was used as a buffer memory.
Despite all the efforts, the building burned down to the base. The residential building that was behind was also somewhat damaged by the fire and the extinguishing work. Fortunately no one was injured – animals were not damaged either.
Operations manager Bernd Unger was finally able to burn on 20.13. The investigation into the cause of the fire and the exact amount of damage is led by the state criminal police station and continues.
