A tragic accident took place on Montafon Zimbajoch in Vorarlberg. On Sunday the body of a 50-year-old walker was found in a rock channel, the man should have crashed on one of the last days.
The tourist had already climbed to the Saratlohütte on Tuesday. After an overnight stay, he planned to step from the Zimbajoch to the valley. From that moment his track lost. When the man was still not at his hometown in Germany on Saturday, his family members finally informed the police. This immediately started the investigation.
Large search
The suspicion quickly fought that the man could have crashed, so a large -scale search for space in the Sarotlatal and Rellstal was started on Sunday, and a police helicopter was also involved.
Suddenly lost
A few hours later, the fears became sad: forces of the mountain rescue in Vandan discovered the German body south of the Zimbajoch. The surveys showed that the hiker in the area of the Zimbajoch should have losing the spacious on the broken surface and then had to crash over a steep grass of 50 degrees in the rock channel.
