The Disneyland in Paris is a popular location for weddings – but during the weekend safety forces of the amusement park also invited the police for such an event. The bride seemed far too young for the staff, she would have been only nine years old. Instead of a ceremony there were four arrests.
On Saturday morning, before guests storm the amusement park, the private wedding party was registered. There was cake, band and festive decoration, but the age of the supposed bride was suspicious against employees of Disneyland.
100 extras were committed
The police finally appeared at the event and after four people in custody who should have something to do with the wedding. The survey came out: it was not a real wedding. “It was not a wedding, but the staging of a wedding that was filmed with about 100 extras,” said the deputy public prosecutor of the Agence France Press.
However, when booking there was a real wedding – according to the “Guardian” it was a British at the age of 22 – according to “Guardian”. This would have organized the fake wedding and was questioned: it is suspected of fraud and money laundering.
Girls seemed “fairly scared and confused”
As the public prosecutor has also announced, the “bride” is a girl from Ukraine, but she had “no violence and no coercion”. According to “Le Parisien”, however, she made a “frightened and confused” impression. She was glued on her feet with high heels with which she could not walk – she had to be worn by her mother.
The man who acted as a wedding father was an actor. The 55-year-old only discovered shortly before the staging that the “bride” was a nine-year-old. Other extras did not even know that it was a fake wedding: “I saw the panic of the Disney people and then through the window a small child with a wedding dress,” said a hired wedding guest for the RadioStation France Inter.
