Several sexual offenses are charged in Vienna. All for his students. The first case would have been more than 20 years ago. But he denies everything!
He was a successful acrobatics coach. Only worked with the best of the best. And that in Bosnia, the US and also in Austria. Here he is said to have started sexually abusing young girls he trained 20 years ago. It was only years later that they dared to file a complaint.
First alleged victim more than 20 years ago
The first attack is said to have taken place in 1999: the then 26-year-old invited a 14-year-old girl to Vienna for a trial session. According to the indictment, the two then ended up in his apartment, where he sexually assaulted her. His version of what happened: “She put her head on my shoulder, we looked at each other and kissed.”
That should have happened completely amicably, according to the now 48-year-old in the Vienna court. “Isn’t it inappropriate to approach girls you adore as coaches in shape?” asks the psychiatrist in dismay. “Now I know, of course. I wasn’t that smart when I was younger,” he claims.
15 year old abused
Yet years later he would have touched a 15-year-old – she was a friend of his 20-year-old pregnant partner – at home. “I felt raped!” she wrote in her diary at the time.
One by one they broke their silence
When five girls he eventually trained reported touching their private parts during stretching exercises, the two previous victims are said to have testified.
The accused acrobatics trainer pleads not guilty. Other than the “consensual kissing,” he claims he’s never gotten closer to a student. – Judgment will follow on Thursday.
