Two cars collided head-on in Birkfeld (Styria) on Saturday evening! All four people involved in the accident were injured. The polluter, a 37-year-old from the neighborhood, got into his car very drunk!
On Saturday evening, the 37-year-old from the Weiz district was driving on Weizer Straße B72, but suddenly ended up in the oncoming lane. At the same time, he was approached by a car driven by a 21-year-old woman from the Weiz district. She also had a 16-year-old and a 67-year-old female with her.
Vehicles collided and skidded
The inevitable happened: the alcohol driver crashed into the vehicle, which then spun, left the road, then slid down a steep slope and finally crashed into a tree! The 37-year-old’s car also skidded; however, he stopped on the street.
All four injured persons involved
The three occupants of the other car were lucky and managed to free themselves from the wreckage, they suffered injuries of unknown extent and were taken by the rescue service to the LKH Weiz. The heavily intoxicated man was trapped in his car. The Birkfeld fire brigade freed him, after which he had to be flown to hospital by the rescue helicopter with unknown injuries.
