For the Indonesian island of Bali, a ferry with dozens of passengers and vehicles on board fell. Shortly after the departure, the captain made an emergency signal. At least four people were killed, for the time being 29 survivors were found.
The ship left the port of Ketapang on the neighboring island of Java late on Wednesday (local time) and sent an emergency signal about 20 minutes later, said Wahyu Setiabudi, coordinator of the local search and rescue station. The ferry wanted to go to Gilimanuk in Bali.
RESCUE RAIN has saved life
There were 65 people on board the KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya, including 53 passengers and twelve crew members. Several of the survivors were saved in the sea for Cekik in Bali. The authorities said they would have brought themselves to a safety stream. More than 30 people still missed. The rescue operation continued. The ferry also transported more than 80 vehicles, most large trucks.
Leck in the engine room?
In the port of Ketapang, countless family members were worried about their loved ones and waited for news. The authorities searched for men with ten ships in the sea and on the coast.
