The trade unions ELA, UGT and CIM have again called on the employees of Metro Bilbao to go on strike today, Friday between 6.30 and 9.30 am and between 6.30 pm and 9.30 pm.

This strike has been added to last Wednesday’s, which, according to ELA, had “broad follow-up”, despite the minimum shifts imposed.

According to these union federations, “management has not changed its attitude” and “still does not guarantee the purchasing power of the workforce, delaying negotiations and distorting the reality of the conflict that has been entrenched for years.”

The unions, they added, are demanding improvements in various social and organizational aspects, as well as to guarantee wage increases that maintain the purchasing power of the workforce.

“That is why they are going to mobilize again, just like in the previous talks, which was noticeable in the metro services due to the success of the talks,” they have communicated.

The unions don’t even rule out a meeting partial interruptions during the next Aste Nagusia.
