A 53-year-old cyclist collided with a small boy riding his e-scooter in the Andritz district of Graz. The man suffered serious head injuries in the accident and had to be taken to hospital. The four-year-old was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The memorable collision took place on Thursday evening: around 8 p.m., 53-year-old Graz was riding his bicycle on the western sidewalk and bike path of the Mautgasse in the north. He continued on his way and drove into the tram underpass Grabenstrasse. At the same time, a four-year-old boy on a micro scooter and his father came from the opposite direction.
Accident at underpass
The accident happened in the middle of the underpass when the man and the boy suddenly collided and fell. The cyclist suffered a life-threatening head injury in the collision and was transferred to the Graz Regional Hospital. The little boy suffered minor injuries and was treated in hospital on an outpatient basis.
