Political tip expresses condolences
Foreign Minister Beate Meinl Reisinger (Neos) expressed her sympathy on Friday: “Srebrenica warns us what can happen if the international community fails. Our thoughts are today with the mothers, sisters and families of the victims.”
The display should not only go to the past, there is also a responsibility for the present. “The path to a peaceful future in the western Balkans leads about the recognition of suffering and reconciliation – not about perspective or denial.”
Chancellor Christian Stocker (ÖVP) also commemorated the victims in an X mention. “We must and will keep the memory of the murdered to ensure that such atrocities never happen again,” he wrote.
