Reports of problems with beavers come from the entire region, explains Stacherl. Together with the Vienna Neustadt parliament member Franz Dinhobl, he appeals to animal welfare councilor Susanne Rosenkanz: “In times of increasing extreme weather conditions, legal options for preventive removal of beaver buildings are needed. There are no clear regulations.”
Human protection is going on
However, the FPö politician is in contradiction with this: “In the case of a delay hazard, approval can of course be removed immediately.” The protection of people always has priority: “This also applies to floods in the case of beaver buildings.” If the Beveren population becomes a problem, recordings are possible under the legal requirements.
