A heated General Meeting in Ternitz (LOWER Austria) leaves all questions about the contracts of cheap garages. According to rumors, these have already been terminated, but this is refused by the controller. The “Kroon” knows the details.
In short about history: In Ternitz, the Arbö Local Club 340 small garages on a part of the Schwarzataler Non-profit homes and settlement systems GmbH (SAG) are carefully rented out, namely 65 euros per year. In March the tenants were asked to free the garages by the end of the year. On the basis of the fact that the local club is resolved because there is no new chairman.
During a general meeting, the board should now take place, and new people should have existed until election to maintain the lease with the SAG.
No dissolution of the association, not a new election
However, nothing came of it. Because the garage rates came to the ears that the lease for the area had already been terminated by the SAG in September 2024, the removal of the “old” board was even prevented. However, Peter Rezar, Arbö Lawyer, claims: “There is no termination of the contract, neither oral nor in writing.”
In general, the mood was considerably heated during the general meeting. Numerous questions from the available garage owners appeared and threats for the Arbö also appeared: “If the garages no longer exist, the Arbö Internitz will experience recordings in the three -digit range”.
Moreover, the wish everyone was involved – Irbö was killed at a table together with the SAG and the garage.
What does she say?
SAG director Martina Drescher confirms that no termination has been issued yet. “We were only informed of the fact that the local club will solve. So we would no longer have a contractual partner.” Moreover, she criticizes that many of the garages no longer match the goal, namely the assumption of cars.
“Many use the garages as a storage space or as a workshop,” says Drescher. Some have already expired. And: “This is all one thing between the Arbö Local Club and its members. And the members know exactly that this contract can be terminated at any time”. You don’t want to sit down with the participants.
Will the contract be continued with a new sign? “We decide that when the time comes.”
At the next appointment of the Arbö General Meeting on 27 August (replacement date on 2 September), a subsequent attempt is now being made to take off the current board and use a new one. If there is not even a solution, the association will be resolved, according to the chairman Johann Bartl.
