There was a serious rear-end collision in Vienna-Favoriten on Sunday. Police said a 36-year-old driver was clearly under the influence of alcohol and drugs. In addition, he does not have a valid driver’s license.
At about 10:15 pm, the alcohol driver drove his car into another car on Triesterstrae without braking. Two passengers suffered minor injuries. When the officers arrived on the scene and wanted to perform an alcohol test on the driver, the man refused. During the subsequent vehicle inspection, the officers found narcotics and a prohibited brass knuckle.
The man was reported on suspicion of negligent bodily harm, refusal to take an alcohol test and other violations.
