In Tyrol, the heat of the day erupted into thunderstorms on Wednesday evening. Above all, the Oberland was hit. Several mudslides and floods called for emergency services in the Imst district.
Heavy rain and hail caused a mudslide around 6 p.m. over the Konerbach in Längenfeld in the Ötztal. Police said no one was injured and surrounding buildings were also spared. The cleanup work continued into the evening. The community temporarily closed several forest and hiking trails near the mouth of the mudflow.

A landslide also occurred in Silz. According to the control center of Tyrol, underpasses have also been flooded here. The fire brigade had to come here.
In other communities in the Imst district, the control center also registered isolated operations. Another mudslide has formed in the Pitztal and Arzl and Längenfeld have also reported water damage.
