The 33-year-old Romanian and his 31-year-old colleague were riding their mountain bike on the Littring municipal road in the municipality of Eberstalzell around 7:20 p.m. on Thursday when the 33-year-old hit a bend of the road on a steeply sloping stretch of road. He came to a stop against a tree and lay motionless on the road.

His companion immediately began CPR and continued to provide first aid until the arrival of the rescue team “Martin 3”. Due to the quick intervention of the attendant, vital functions could be determined again in the fallen victim. He was taken by rescue helicopter to the hospital in Vöcklabruck.
