Twice in a short time, the volunteer gunmen’s park in Klagenfurt was the target of vandals and perhaps even arson. Now the police are investigating.
The professional fire brigade of Klagenfurt had to divert to a fire in the park of the volunteer shooters in Klagenfurt on Saturday morning. A fire broke out at the Tajik teahouse for reasons as yet unknown – exactly where vandals had smashed glass windows on Thursday night and deliberately dumped valuable oriental rugs and props into a nearby old clothing container.
Street sweepers discovered the vandalism on Thursday morning. That’s why a fence was put up to protect it.
Setting fire to the site despite fencing
Unfortunately, the construction fence on Saturday evening could not prevent the beautiful wooden columns from catching fire where the window had been smashed.
Police are now investigating the arson. Six men from Klagenfurt’s professional fire brigade managed to quickly extinguish the fire.
