According to a witness, the e-scooter exploded
A witness tried to bring the flames under control with a hand extinguisher, but was unsuccessful. “The witness stated that the fire was started by an exploding e-scooter,” the police said.
“Extinguishing such lithium batteries is still not an easy task! Monday morning the site was checked again and the last batteries that had flared up were finally extinguished,” says the Klagenfurt fire brigade. The exact cause of the fire is not yet known. investigations are underway. The four scooters were a total loss, the total damage amounted to several thousand euros.
