A 75-year-old pensioner has been arrested in France on suspicion of shooting a man on a nudist beach. As the public prosecutor announced on Monday, the 46-year-old victim died on Saturday near a lake in Miribel, a suburb of Lyon. The man is said to have repeatedly harassed women on the beach.
The 75-year-old is suspected of having shot the younger man several times in the bushes near Miribel’s nude beach. This apparently preceded a dispute between the two, because the 46-year-old had shown his genitals to a woman.
46-year-old allegedly molested women
According to information from the newspaper “Le Progrès”, the pensioner is a member of a rifle club and owns a rifle. The 46-year-old was known to the police. The newspaper “Le Parisien” reported that he was a nuisance on the beach every Saturday morning; once he started masturbating in front of a woman.
“Le Progrès” reported that beach life in Miribel continued as normal on Sunday. The participants of the World Naked Bike Ride, among others, arrived at the lake just as the police were conducting their investigation.
