Shock in the Stinatz community in Burgenland after an alleged “Bajuwar Liberation Army” message on the display case of the parish church. The Bureau for the Protection of the Constitution is now investigating the matter and bad memories are being awakened.
It is not yet clear who the author(s) of the message could be. The note with the words “The Bavarian Liberation Army – you will hear from us” was pasted on the display case of the parish church.
investigations are underway
A passer-by discovered the news by chance on Monday morning and immediately notified the parish. As a result, a representative of the parish eventually notified the police. Meanwhile, investigations by the Bureau for the Protection of the Constitution are ongoing.
Who could be behind the message is now causing speculation in the community. The suspicions range between a serious threat and a clumsy attempt to make a fuss.
Hassposting online
Speculation is also fueled by the fact that a hate comment against Stinatz only appeared on the internet about three months ago. On the video platform YouTube, under a video about a Croatian wedding in Stinatz, it was posted that a bomb would be thrown at the “Tschuschnkaff”.
“There is already some concern, right now many in the city are excited,” said Mayor Andreas Grandits, who described the mood in the community after the note was discovered. Because many bad memories are awakened again.
bad murder
In 1995 an assassination attempt was carried out in Stinatz, in which an employee of the environmental service was seriously injured. After that, a confession letter from the “Bajuwar Liberation Army” appeared.
