Date:

A long-kept secret of the Trump family has now been revealed. Former adviser and son-in-law of ex-President Donald Trump was diagnosed with cancer in 2019. Kushner has now written his battle with the disease and Trump’s response in an upcoming book.

The New York Times was the first to report on Ivanka Trump’s husband’s illness, citing an excerpt from Kushner’s memoir, which will be published August 23, according to HarperCollins Publishers. Accordingly, the disease would have been recognized early and part of his thyroid had to be removed. “The morning I traveled to Texas to attend the opening of a Louis Vuitton factory, White House physician Sean Conley pulled me to the medical booth on Air Force One,” Kushner wrote of the day of his diagnosis, according to the paper. . The doctor told him the test results had come. “It looks like you have cancer. We need to schedule surgery immediately,” the doctor told Kushner.

“I am the chairman. I know everything”
It was important to him to keep the diagnosis a secret. Nevertheless, the president found out: “The day before the proceedings, Trump called me to the Oval Office and asked his team to close the door,” Kushner said. “Are you nervous about the treatment?” Trump asked him. When Kushner asked how Trump found out about his illness, he replied, “I’m the president. I know everything.”

The 41-year-old entrepreneur was Trump’s senior campaign manager during the 2015/2016 presidential campaign and later his chief adviser at the White House. Kushner is married to Trump’s daughter Ivanka, 40, whose mother Ivana passed away nearly two weeks ago at the age of 73.
