PSOE and Podemos present and register this Thursday a account of the new bank and energy taxes.
The proposal provides for the charging of costs to the companies that apply the tax on the final price of the customers. So it is no longer consumers who pay the new tax for large companies.
Two new taxes will be presented in the Congress of Deputies. The first will target the banking sector as the tax burden will be applied to interest income and commissions.
The second tax will be aimed at energy companies with profits greater than €1,000 million, such as: Repsol, Endesa and Iberdrola.
The latter company announced on Wednesday that it achieved a net profit of 2,075 million euros in the first half of the year.
