Terrible find in the US state of Texas: Police found a seven-year-old boy dead in a washing machine in a garage. The parents had reported their adopted son missing to police two hours earlier. Homicide investigation.
As the US media reports, Troy Khoeler’s parents received the boy on Thursday, around 5:20 a.m., 911 called and reported the seven-year-old missing. When police arrived at the family’s home in Spring, a small town about 20 miles north of Houston, they searched the property and found the dead child in a washing machine being loaded from above.
It’s unclear if there was water in the machine or if the lid was closed when Troy was found. The boy was said to be fully clothed. No information has yet been released on the cause of death, the child’s body has been taken to the coroner’s office.
The parents were questioned separately, as is usual in any criminal investigations, local media report. The couple raised Troy and adopted him in 2019, police said. There is no evidence of domestic violence.
