A man (31) was stabbed in the Volksgarten in Graz on Thursday evening – we reported. A suspect has now been arrested.
After a 31-year-old from Belarus was stabbed and seriously injured in the Volksgarten in Graz on Thursday evening, the police have now arrested a suspect. It concerns a 55-year-old Russian citizen, police said on Saturday. The 55-year-old confesses that he was taken to Jakomini prison. The 31-year-old was still in life-threatening condition on Saturday.
Dispute at the snack stall
The two men got into an argument at a food stall on Thursday evening, after which the 31-year-old was stabbed. The perpetrator fled on foot. Officials from the Styrian Criminal Police Office, the Graz City Police Command (criminal service) and the Rapid Intervention Group (SIG) have arrested the suspect at his home address.
He stated that he was first attacked by the 31-year-old and grabbed a snack knife that lay on a table to fend off the attack.
